Congressman Roscoe Bartlett to Host Energy Efficient Car Showcase at Valley Mall in Hagerstown, Maryland on Nov. 3-4 2006
Opening Ceremony 11:00 am Friday; 15 Models on Display

On Friday, November 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Congressman Roscoe Bartlett will be joined by federal, state and local officials at an opening ceremony for an Energy Efficient Car Showcase at the Valley Mall in Hagerstown, Maryland. There will be a static display of more than a dozen cars in the mall through 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4. On Friday, November 3 at 11:00 a.m., the Showcase will begin with an opening ceremony. Chrysler, Ford, GM, Honda and Toyota vehicles will be provided by four local dealers. A list of confirmed speakers and cars follows.
The Valley Mall is owned by Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust which hosted its first energy efficient car showcase with Congressman Bartlett at the Francis Scott Key Mall in Frederick, MD on June 2-4, 2006. The Valley Mall is located at 17301 Valley Mall Rd. - northeast of the intersection of I-70 and I-81 in Hagerstown, MD.
“Americans understand that recent high prices for gasoline are among the effects of energy choices on our environment and our wallets,” said Congressman Roscoe Bartlett. “It will take individuals and businesses and the government working together to overcome these challenges, such as the prospect of the end of cheap oil from peak oil. I am honored to be joined at the opening ceremony of this energy efficient car showcase by supporters of the effort to promote energy efficiency and conservation. The cars and trucks that Americans can now buy that will be on display at the Valley Mall are part of the solution.”
