Rep. Roscoe Bartlett Urges Donations to Operation Hero Miles
Washington, May 24, 2007 -
This is Congressman Roscoe Bartlett.
In honor of Memorial Day, I am urging Americans to donate their unused frequent flyer miles as "Hero Miles" so that family members of wounded and sick servicemen and women can have free plane tickets to travel to a military hospital to be by the bedside of their loved ones.
Ten airlines participating in "Operation Hero Miles" have agreed to match miles donated over Memorial Day Weekend from 6 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2007, to 11:59 p.m. Monday, May 28, 2007. Miles can be donated at www.heromiles.org.
